Four Masters 3-13, Aodh Ruadh 3-08:
A great second half performance saw Four Masters overcome a determined Aodh Ruadh team. An excellent start to the game saw Aodh Ruadh take control, leading by five points early in the game with Dylan Gallagher and Shane Dorrian coming to the fore. Joe Sheerin with a well taken goal brought four master back into the game near to half time. At half time the scoreline read 2-02 to 2-06 to Aodh Ruadh. With their work rate and performance upped in the second half, Four Masters began to narrow the margin and take the lead. Good scores from Thomas Mc Gowan (frees), Cían Hegary and a Joe Sheerin goal put Four Masters eight points up with a couple of minutes to go. An excellent goal from Sean Taylor brough Aodh Ruadh to within five points, with Four Masters holding out to win on a scoreline of 3-13 to 3-08. Best performers on the night were Joe Sheerin, Ronan Mc Hugh, and Bryan Fegan for Four Masters; with Dylan Gallagher, Shane Dorrian and Sean Taylor performing well for Aodh Ruadh.
Four Masters’ Lotto Results: There was no jackpot winner of the Annual Lotto for Week 39. There were two €50 winners. Martin Higgans, Clogher, Barnesmore and Anne-Marie and Seamus Sheeran, Mountcharles. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 8, 19. Next weeks jackpot is now standing at €1400. Next draw will be Monday 15th April.
Table Quiz: The Four Masters GAA Club are hosting a table quiz in Dom’s Pier 1 Friday 12th April at 9pm in aid of our underage, football, hurling, Camogie teams. Bord na nÓg carry out a tremendous amout of work for the children of the area. Huge numbers of children are participating on a weekly basis in team sports and activites. Please come along and support the Club at this fun evening. A quiz is always a bit of craic and sure its a very cheap night out and all the money is going to a good cause. Entry Fee is €5 per person. For a table of four €20 payable on the night. Please come and support.
Grant for Gaeltacht: CLG Dhun na nGall are awarding four grants of €300 to Donegal GAA Club members who complete Gaeltacht Summer courses in 2013. Any Four Masters GAA Club member who is attending the Gaeltacht this summer and wishes to enter this draw, please contact Club Secretary, Deborah Dunnion on 087 9860192, no later than 30thApril. County draw will take place in May.
