Cluichí / Fixtures

The seniors and reserves both had good wins in the league at the weekend against Bundoran. The reserves put in a good performance and won by 3-08 to 2-03 while the seniors had an impressive 2-08 to 0-01 win in their match.

The seniors are away to Glenfin on Friday at 7pm. Both teams are then in action against Termon in the Banks on Sunday at 1:30pm and 3:00pm. Tar amach agus tabhair tacaíocht do na foirne le do thoil.

Bord na nÓg

➢ Ghlac gasúraí faoi 17 Naomh Muire páirt i gcomórtas óige na Gaeltachta a bhí ar siúl i nGallaimh ag an deireadh seachtaine. Bhí comórtas maith acu. Bhain siad cluiche, chaill siad cluiche agus chríochnaigh siad ar chomh-scór i gcluiche eile. Ní raibh siad ach pointe ar shiúl ó theacht amach ar bharr a ngrúpa. Maith sibh a ghasúraí.

➢ The under 14s lost out to neighbours Dungloe by a point in a close match. Naomh Muire led by 2 points at half-time after a goal from Declan Ward. A good game played in a good sporting spirit with the final score being 1-05 to 9 points. Best for Naomh Muire were Odhran Rodgers, Declan Ward, John mc Garvey, Pauric Sweeney and Daniel Ward.

➢ The minor team have 2 home games this week. First up is Aodh Ruadh on Wednesday followed by Naomh Columba on Friday. Both games throw-in at 7pm.

➢ Club training tops and hats are available for all players from under 8s to under 18s as well as coaches. These will be given out on Tuesday evening between 6pm – 7pm or Friday evening between 8.30pm – 9pm. Total cost for both items is €10.

Peil na mBan / Ladies

➢ Comhghairdeachas le girseachaí faoi 17 Naomh Muire a bhain comórtas Óige na Gaeltachta i Ros a’ Mhíl. Bhuail said an Cheathrú Rua sa chluiche ceannais Dé Sathairn. Comhghairdeachas le na girseachaí uilig agus an lucht bainistíochta.

➢ Gaelic4Girls started this week within the club and we had 67 Girls registered and playing fun games at the first evenings coaching.

➢ We also had a first class turnout of coaches to ensure we make this venture a success.

Nuacht Eile / Other News

Jive Alive 2013

Comhghairdeachas le Seán Mac Ruairí agus Donna Ní Bhaoill a bhuaigh Jive Alive 2013. Jive Alive 2013 was a huge success this weekend in Aislann Rann na Feirste. The club would like to say a massive thank you to all those involved. To all the dancers who gave up their time and put so much effort into the show; to the backroom team who made everything flow seamlessly on the night; to Bríd Sweeney for her outstanding coverage of the night through her photographs; to the public for coming out and supporting this event and to anyone who helped in anyway, go raibh céad mile maith agaibh uilig. The money raised will go straight towards the development works being carried out in the Banks.

Lotto

➢ Ba iad 2, 13, 14, 16 na huimhreacha lotto a tarraingeadh an tseachtain seo agus níor baineadh an pota óir.

➢ Beidh €2,000 sa phota óir an tseachtain seo chugainn.

➢ Bhí trí uimhir ag na daoine seo leanas:

• Aodh Beag, Rann na Feirste

• Mary McBride, Mín Doire na Slua
