SOCCER – BONAGEE UTD NOTES

The Donegal league team are playing Ballybofey Utd. at 2 p.m. this Sunday in Ballyare in the play off for promotion to Division 1.bonagee united

The senior team were defeated last Sunday at home 2-1 by Drumkeen in the league cup with Aiden Mc Laughlin scoring for the home team. They have no fixture this weekend. Pride of place this week goes to our U12 Team who clinched the premier league title by 1 point from Kilmacrennan Celtic. They beat a determined Swilly Rovers by 2-0 in a thrilling match. Peter Carr and Daragh Ellison the scorers. Daragh was man of the match in what was a brilliant team performance. “Brendan’s Bats” finished off the season unbeaten conceding just 2 goals in the second half of the season. Well done to all the boys and girl. Congratulations to their Manager Brendan Carolan, assistants Raymond Murphy and Edward Nugent and goalkeeping coach James ‘Bubs ‘O’ Brien. The u16 team was defeated 1-0 by Illistrin in the league cup last Saturday.The club are holding a table quiz tonight Friday 26th in Arena 7 at 10 p.m. teams of four, everyone welcome to come along.

There were three match five no. winners last week in the clubs weekly lotto draw Mary Crossan Correnagh, Barbara Hunter Long Lane and Donal M. Coyle Correnagh each get €20. Next weeks jackpot is now €2125. Last weeks numbers 2,5,8,9,13,14 lucky no. was 1. Lotto plus winners €50 Philomena Gildea Correnagh, €30 Tony Pyper Old Town and €20 Paddy Maguire Swilly View. Lucky no. winners Ellie &n Darci Crossan Correnagh, Ann Molloy Correnagh, Ita Wilkie Drumany, Martina Diver Glen and Damien Maguire Lr. Dromore.

The club would like to offer its sympathy to the Culbert family Letterkenny and the Carlin family Castlefinn on there recent bereavements
