It has been confirmed by the CCC that the Donegal SFC Quarter Finals including our mouth-watering tie against Kilcar will now be played over the weekend of 14-15 September.Glenswilly GAA Club

The seniors were in league action this week and strolled to a home victory over Sean MacCumhaills on Saturday past. They finished up 1-11 to 1-4 winners and the win means that our lads are back on top of the division 2 table, leading Glenfin by a point with a game in hand.

The reserves meanwhile battled to a draw against their counterparts in a game that ended 1-6 a-piece. This result sets up what should be an intriguing final few games of the div 2 reserve league. The Glen lead the way with two points to spare at the top but face some difficult tests against very good opposition in the weeks to come.

The team of the moment in the Glen is surely our minors. The lads have made it through to their first ever division 2 final as a team following what can only be described as a bruising encounter with opponents Malin in Burt on Friday last. Right from the off our boys showed a tremendous amount of passion for the jersey and to the delight of the strong Glenswilly support in attendance, fought their way to a 1-10 to 1-6 victory. They will now go on to play Downings in the Division 2 Northern Board Final. That game is confirmed for Tri-a-Lough, Fanad on Thursday 15th August at 6pm. All the best to the players and management.

The 3rds are in Junior B Championship action this week as they play Muff in the 1/4 final in O’Donnell Park on Saturday 17th August at 6pm.

Lotto numbers this week were 3,15,16,17. Match 3 winners Cathal Gallagher and Lucy Gallagher, Seacor. Next weeks seller is Aisling McDaid.
