StEunansSt Eunan’s Club News: The Seniors defeated Malin on Saturday to claim the All County League div. 1 title for the 2nd straight year. Congratulations to Eamon, Pat, Vincent and all the players.

The Reserves took another step towards claiming the Reserve League title after they had a big win over Malin, one more win should be enough to claim the crown for 2013.

The U21 hurlers still await their County final with the other semi-final between Burt and Setanta yet to take place.

The U16 boy’s footballers reached the Northern Championship Final after a good win over St. Michael’s on Sunday at The Bridge. They take on Gaoth Dobhair this Saturday evening (19th) at 5pm in Glenswilly in the Final.

The U13 Boys defeated N. Padraig, Muff in the Shield semi-final on Sunday. They travel to Buncrana on Friday night for the Shield Final.

The U15 footballers will take on the winner of Buncrana and St. Michael’s in the Northern semi-finals on the Bank Holiday weekend unless the U16’s have their semi-final the same day.

The U-12 girls have an end of season blitz in Derry this Sunday; they take on hosts Steelstown as well as Buncrana and Claudy. Bus leaves Tobins at 9.45am. Players should bring €5 for the bus, water and a change of clothes/towel. The team will return to Tobins at 2pm approx.

There will be a Level 2 Coaching course over 2 weekends in November (8th / 9th & 15th / 16th) in Glenswilly. If any coach has completed Level 1 and wants to take part, contact Jim Clarke asap on 086-3131550. There will also be a Workshop for Coaches working with U8’s and U10’s on Tuesday, Oct. 15th in Glenswilly at 7pm.

Anyone that has trophies is asked to hand them in ASAP to go into the trophy cabinet in the clubhouse. Contact Paul McGovern 086-8114151.

St. Eunan’s Hurling Board AGM will take place in O’Donnell Park Clubhouse at 7.30pm this Wednesday October 16th. All club members welcome.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Jimmy Guichard in England recently. Jimmy was a member of the minor hurling championship winning team of 2011. His untimely death has come as a huge shock to his teammates and to all club members.

There was one winner that matched 3 numbers in this week’s Lotto draw. Vincent McGlynn, Knocknamona wins €100. The numbers drawn were 9-18-23-24. Next week’s Jackpot is €1,100.
