DONEGAL MAN AWARDED €41K AFTER CRASH ON BEACH

A Dungloe man who drove after some quad bikers who were driving on a public beach has been awarded €41,000 after a crash.

Mr Boyle was on a quad when he was struck by a pensioner.

Shaun Boyle collided with a pensioner’s jeep during the incident in 2003.

The High Court heard how Mr Boyle (29) of Pole Road, Meenmore, Dungloe suffered various injuries when he was crashed into by pensioner Andrew Sharkey of Trevet Grange, Dunshaughlin in Co Meath.

Mr Boyle sued Mr Sharkey as a result of the injuries.

The court heard how Mr Boyle had driven after a number of men on his quad bike who had also been on quad bikes on a public beach.
