Nala is described as a gentle giant.

An unusual breed of dog appears to have become the latest victim of dognappers in Inishowen.

Nala, a dogue de Bordeaux, disappeared from its owners property on Cassey Road in Buncrana early this morning.

The dog’s owner was alerted when his other three dogs began barking.

But when he checked on his dogs, Nala was missing from her locked enclosure.

The dog may have escaped itself but the owners feel the dog may also have been taken.

Nana is a very much loved family pet and they describe her as a “gentle giant.”

If anybody spots the unusual dog they are asked to leave a message on our Facebook page or contact us at info@donegaldaily.com and we will pass on the information to the family.
