Garda Parke is swapping Gaoth Dobhair for a new life here in Perth

A WELL-known and highly respected Donegal Garda is emigrating.

Garda David Parke, who was stationed in Bunbeg and previously in Dungloe, is leaving Ireland for a new job with the Perth Police in Western Australia.

“He is a highly respected officer and will be greatly missed by the people of Gaoth Dobhair,” said one Donegal Daily reader today.

“He will be a great loss to our community. We wish him well in Australia.”
