It was a good weekend for the Seniors and Reserves with both teams getting two wins over the Easter weekend.

The Seniors had to come from behind victory on Friday over Gaoth Dobhair and then on Sunday they travelled to the Glen and despite finishing with 13 men, a young team showed a lot of character in a very intimidating atmosphere to run out winners by 3-13 to 1-07.

Rory Kavanagh gave a towering display despite the sad passing of his beloved grandmother earlier in the week.

The Reserves continued their good start as well with a good win over the Gaoth Dobhair men on Friday before winning by the minimum in the Glen on Sunday.

The Senior Hurlers claimed another good victory in the Ulster Táin League Div. 3 against Aodh Ruadh on Easter Monday and they take on MacCumhaills this Saturday in Ballybofey.

The Juniors began their Div. 5 league season with a good win over Ardara after a strong finish to the game. They host MacCumhaills this Saturday evening with a 7pm throw-in.

The Senior Ladies get their league campaign underway with an away game against newly promoted Milford this Wednesday (23rd). All support welcome (7pm throw-in).

The Minor Boys footballers defeated Letterkenny Gaels on Monday night in the Northern League q-finals and travel to Burt on Wednesday evening for their semi-final.

The U14 Boys Northern League q-finals are set for this week with the B team at home to Gaels with a 5:15pm throw-in on Friday. The A team are also at home to Carndonagh and it looks like this game may be moved to Monday evening – keep an eye on social media for updates.

The U14 girls began their league campaign on Tuesday night away to Glenswilly and had a good victory. Training is in the park on Thursday at 4.45pm to 6pm. They are at home to Milford next Tuesday (April 29th) throw-in at 6:15pm.

The young national school camogie players put in good displays in their challenge games against Burt in the park on Tuesday. The 5th/6th class team is away to Carndonagh on Friday evening.

The U16 Boys football gets underway on Friday, May 2nd.

The Minor Hurlers have a home game to Aodh Ruadh this Thursday. An understrength St Eunan’s U14 Hurling team lost out last week in the league to Buncrana however a second half where Eunan’s scored 5-05 shows the potential in this squad. The U14 hurlers are away to Burt this Thursday.

U14, U16 and Minor hurling training continues every Tuesday at 5pm. New hurlers always welcome.

The Friday evening Hurling & Camogie Academy returns outdoors this Friday, April 25th from 6:30pm until 8pm for U6’s up to U12’s.

The Sunday morning U10 Football Academy goes ahead this Sunday, April 27th at 11am. New members welcome from age 4 and upwards.

The Save the Church Lane Group have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SaveTheChurchLane. They are also on twitter and the twitter address is @SaveChLane. The aim of the group shall be to re-generate the historic Church Lane and the surrounding areas to create a tourist gem in the heart of Letterkenny that can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

This week’s winners in the Lotto draw can be seen on the club Facebook page. There were 9 winners that win €15 each. The winning numbers were 8-9-15-21. Next week’s jackpot is €1,325.

We send our sympathies this week to the Kavanagh, Jordan, McNulty and Orr families on their bereavements.
