GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS IN WINS OVER NAOMH PADRAIG

LETTERKENNY GAELSLetterkenny Gaels News: Our Seniors and Reserves continued their season with wins over Naomh Padraig Lifford on Saturday evening last. The Senior game was a close affair with the lads holding out for a deserved 2 point win while the Reserves had a comprehensive victory. Next up this Saturday, we travel to Naomh Padraig Muff. The Senior game throws in at 5.30pm & the Reserves at 7pm. Training for Seniors and Reserves continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.

Thanks to all that helped out with the recent bag pack in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity Ireland.

Beidh 4 dheontas de €250 ar fáil ó C.L.G. Dhún na nGall fa choinne baill de chlubanna atá ag freastail ar Choláistí  Gaelige  i nDún na nGall agus fosta  8x€250 ó Choláiste na bhFiann ‘den chúrsa i nGaoth Dobhair.

CLG Dhún na nGall will sponsor 4 grants of €250 to members attending a Coláiste Gaeilge of their choice in Dún na nGall. In addition, Coláiste na bhFiann are sponsoring 8x€250 grants for members of CLG. Dhún na nGall who wish to attend their course in Gaoth Dobhair.  ​

Written applications must be submitted by club members to Jim Mc Glynn, Camblestown, Letterkenny no later than this Friday 25th April. Application forms can be downloaded from our club website.

This week’s lotto numbers will be included in next weeks notes. The numbers in our club lotto have increased to 28. Any members of Friends of the Gaels wishing to change their weekly numbers should contact John McDermott or Sharon Harnet.

U16 football training continues every Wednesday and Friday at 5.30pm.

U6, U8, & U10 football continues at Pairc na nGael every Sunday morning from 11-12pm. New members welcome.

Well done to our U14hurlers on their recent win over Dungloe. Final score 4-04 to 4-02

There is an U8 &U10 hurling blitz on this Sunday in Convoy. Meet at the Pin Tavern at 10am.

Hurling training for U6, U8, U10 and U12 has now moved to the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurleys and helmets provided for training.

Club members wishing to avail of Club Donegal should contact Jim on 0862271435. Membership includes free admission to all Club League & Championship games in the county for 2014.

With regard to home and car insurance we have teamed up with Liberty Insurance who will give €50 to the club for every new policy taken out with them before 30th April. All you have to do is nominate Letterkenny Gaels.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. New players welcome. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

Sympathy is extended to the Page family, Kilmacrennan on their recent bereavement.

Senior Ladies Football training continues every Tuesday from 8-9pm at Game on Sports. New members welcome.
