Gardai have sealed off the scene where a body was found in Buncrana.

Gardai have sealed off the scene where a body was found in Buncrana.

BREAKING NEWS: Gardai are investigating the discovery of a body in suspicious circumstances in Buncrana.

The body of a man in his late 60s was found in a house last night and following an initial assessment of the scene, Gardai have sealed of the scene.

It is believed the man’s body was found in the hallway of his home.

A pathologist from the State Pathologist’s office in Dublin is due to examine the scene of the find today.

The area has been preserved by Gardai.

Gardai are making no official comment on the matter at this stage.

We will bring you further details on this story as they emerge.

* Gardai have now removed the body, that of a male, from the house and it has been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
