GAA NEWS: MOVILLE U14’S DEFEAT MALIN TO WIN INISHOWEN B FINAL

The victorious Moville u14 Team who beat Malin in a very entertaining Inishowen B Final.

Moville GAA Notes

The Club’s annual golf classic will take place on Saturday 24th May in Greencastle Golf Club.

Entry for members is €60 per tea of four and €120 for visitors. There are over €2,000 worth of prizes this year including golf bags, golf clubs, shoes and clothing.

There is nearest the pin, longest drive and a prize for the top ladies team. A timesheet is in operation and you can book by phoning Greencastle GC on (074) 93 81013

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner this week. The winning numbers were 2, 9, 18, 24. The €50 runner-up prize goes to Sean O’Neill, Derry. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,600. Thank you for your continued support. We would like to appeal for more Lotto sellers as it is out main source of income. Please support our club lotto.

JOE MC GEADY CUP FINAL

Congratulations are extended to the Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin U14A team on not only winning the Joe McGeady cup on Sunday, but on retaining it for another year. There was a huge crowd in Moville last night for the Inishowen final. Naomh Padraig defeated CLG Carndomhnaigh in a tough fought battle.
Well done to the Moville U14 team who defeated Malin by a score of 4-13 to 1-10 in the Joe McGeady Cup B final on Sunday evening. Congratulations to Eoghan Gillen who was named player of the match.
The club would like to thank all members who helped out this year in the smooth running of the Joe McGeady Cup finals at Carrick Field; it would not have been such a success without all your help.
RESULTS THIS WEEK
Moville Senior Men played were unfortunate to lose out to Convoy last Saturday evening. They had a ball rebound from a free late on which would have taken the lead. Convoy got the final point winning by the narrowest of margins; next up for the senior men is Letterkenny Gaels away at 6pm on Saturday 17th May.
The senior reserves game took place at home against Convoy Reserves after the senior game and they were unfortunately unable to follow up on their victory last weekend. Next up for the Senior Reserves is Letterkenny Gaels on Saturday away at 7.30pm.

GAELIC FOR GIRLS
Gaelic for girls continue this Wednesday from 3.45-4.45 for any under 8 under 10 girls wishing to play gaelic football. It will take place on the astro pitch. The lead coaches will be Aoife O Hare & Mags Mulhall. This will run for 8 sessions to begin with. Please come along and join the fun.
UNDERAGE FOOTBALL
Congratulations to the U8 teams who played Burt at home on Saturday morning, next up is Muff, date and venue to be confirmed.
TRAINING
Senior and reserve training continues at 6:45 on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Players should come prepared for both Astro and full pitch training.
U14 girls training takes place on Thursday evenings on the Astro at 4:30 – new players are more than welcome.
Senior ladies training takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 and Sunday mornings at 11am.

MISCELLANEOUS CLUB NOTES
The pitch continues to take great shape a lot of effort and hard work and time has brought it to where it is now hopefully will be playable very soon thanks to those involved.
