ELECTION 2014: INDEPENDENT KENNEDY TOPS TALLY POLL IN DONEGAL

It’s Independents Day in the Donegal electoral area.

Independent candidate Niamh Kennedy topped the poll with 1,649 votes according to tally figures.

She is followed closely by Fianna Fail veteran Sean McEniff with 1,591 votes with Independent Tom Connaghan coming in third with 1,430 votes.

Another Independent John Campbell, an outgoing councillor, also polled very well just behind with 1,190.

Barry O’Neill(FG), Noel Jordan (SF) and Brendan Byrne (FF) also all look safe.
