GOLF NEWS: CHARLES CALLAGHAN WINS THE SUNDAY COMPETITION AT MURVAGH

Parent & & Son /Daughter Competition.  GOLF LOGO

The annual “Parent & Son/Daughter” competition Sponsored by Club Professional Leslie Robinson takes place next Saturday 31st May.
Men’s Competitions:
Sunday 25th of May – O’Donnell’s Bar & Restaurant
It took a break of tie to separate the first three places in the Sunday competition sponsored by O’Donnell’s Bar & Restaurant. Charlie Callaghan secured 1st place and the Damien Wilson Memorial Trophy with Dylan Davitt and Fergus Towey also shooting 39pts. Mickey Shallow was close behind in fourth with 38pts. Enda McMenamin took the gross.

2. Dylan Davitt (24) 39pts (bot)
3. Fergus Towey (16) 39pts
4. Michael Shallow (17) 38pts
Gross: Enda McMenamin (4) 29pts
Saturday Sweep
Jason Conway shot an excellent 41pts to win the Saturday sweep from Jason Maguire.
Results
1. Jason Conway (5) 41pts
2. Jason McGuire(10) 34pts
Upcoming Competitions
Next weekend’s competition is Singles stableford sponsored by the Millpark Hotel and is over Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd of June.
The Saturday sweep competitions continue on Saturday the 31st May.

Ladies Competitions:
18th & 20th May – Sponsor Rooney’s Centra, Agnes McFadden Trophy.
Jane Sharkey the lady in form at the moment was the deserving winner with a score of 70nett. Jane will receive the Agnes Mc Fadden Trophy. Congratulations Jane. Rosemary Carr was the runner up for the second week in a row with 73nett followed closely by Marie Cassidy in 3rd place with 74nett (bot) and our Lady Vice Captain Moragh Canney in 4th place with 74 nett.

Entry forms for the Lough Erne & Links Challenge played over Donegal (Murvagh), Narin & Portnoo, and Lough Erne, on the 21st 22nd and 23rd of July are available on the club website
