ROSAPENNA NOTES
The Sunday club competition on the 25th of May was won by Eddie McGinley (16) with 39pts, the runner up was Dannie Sweeney (19) with 38pts and third place was Ronan Gallagher (20) with 38pts. 
Two’s – there were no two’s recorded on Sunday and there is now a roll over of 44e to Sunday June 8th.
Congratulations to the Rosapenna Irish Senior Cup team that qualified in third place last Sunday over the Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna.
The top four qualifiers on the day were –
1. Foyle 303
2. City of Derry 305
3. Rosapenna 308
4. Castlerock 308
There were three 308 totals returned including Portstewart
with Rosapenna being the better of the three as our
best three card total was 228 with Castlerock on 229
& Portstewart on 230.
Now through to the last 16 in Ulster in the matchplay stage
of the competition Rosapenna will play City of Derry G.C back
in Rosapenna over the Sandy Hills Links on Sunday June 29th.
The winners will play either Foyle or Castlerock that same afternoon.
Well done to the Senior Cup team on qualification.
Rosapenna’s Irish Mixed Foursomes team will
play North-West G.C back in Letterkenny on or
before Monday the 9th of June in the last 32
in Ulster.
Our Ulster Cup team travelled to Kilkeel
on Sunday past and after the superb
home result of 7-0 (41 holes) and won
the first match out to win the overall tie.
Rosapenna now play Dungannon G.C in
the third round. Well done to Denis Harkin
and his team.
The Rosapenna Donegal League team travelled
to Portsalon last Thursday evening for the
return leg of the first round tie.
Rosapenna held a commanding 4-1 lead from
the home match and proceeded to win the first
two matches in Portsalon to end the tie in our favour.
Rosapenna will now play either Redcastle or Letterkenny
in the quarter final on or before Monday the
14th of July. Well done to the team captain
Joe McHugh and his panel of players.
The Rosapenna Minor League team will
play the return leg of their first round tie
with Ballybofey/S on Sunday June 8th.
The first leg ended 4-1 to Ballybofey/S.
Rosapenna’s Junior League team will take on
Strabane G.C at home in the first leg
of the first round tie this Saturday
the 31st of May over the Old Tom
Morris Links. The first match will
tee off at 3.30pm.

The Rosapenna Over 50’s team were in
action in Cruit Island over the weekend.
Rosapenna had a great result on Saturday
winning 5-0 (8 holes up).
Well done to team captain Mark Bradley &
his panel of players.
The Irish Junior Cup area qualifying will
take place at Portsalon G.C this Sunday June 1st
with Rosapenna off at 8.30am alongside
Portsalon & Letterkenny. Best of luck to
team captain John Casey & his panel of players.
The draw for the 2014 Michael Bonner Singles Matchplay
is posted on the notice board in the Golf Pavilion and
all second round ties must be played by Monday June 16th.
All second round ties of the Doubles Matchplay must be
completed by next Monday June 2nd.
The 2014 Golf Fees are now due and
are payable in the Pavilion Golf Shop.
All second staged payments were due
on May 1st as per staged payment plan.

The entry fee is €100 per team of four players, open
to Ladies & Gents any combination.

The Friday nine hole competitions over the Strand Nine
will start on Friday the 6th of June with entry in the
