LETTERKENNY GAELSLetterkenny Gaels GAA Notes

The Senior team lost to Moville in their second match in group 2 of the Junior A Championship.

They play Naomh Padraig Lifford in the next round this weekend in Lifford. Check Facebook for throw-in.

Training continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.

The U-14 team had a good win over Naomh Brid in the Division 2 semi-final on Saturday past. In a repeat of the Northern Final they will play Robert Emmetts in the final which is fixed for this Saturday with time & venue to be confirmed. See Facebook for more information.

The U-8 footballers travelled across town to take part in the blitz organised by St. Eunans. We had 2 teams taking part and the day ended on a high note with a visit to Arena 7.

U-6 & U10 Football continues every Sunday morning at 11am at Pairc na nGael while the U-8’s is on both Sunday morning & Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

Last week the club hosted a very successful Hurling Fun Week. Scores of children from U-6 to U-12 enjoyed learning and improving their Hurling skills. The highlight of the week was on Friday when we were joined by a group of Spanish students who took part in a coaching session followed by a sporting game with the small ball. This was followed by a tasty BBQ which was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Dan & Sharon for holding the Fun Week and to all our coaches who give up their week to attend.

Good luck to both Donegal teams on Sunday in the Ulster Final especially to Oisin Cannon and the Minor lads.

We are currently looking for girls aged 9-12 to join our U-12 Gaelic Football squad. Training on Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30pm Contact Jim Farrell on 086 0566893 for more details.

Letterkenny Gaels Camogie Crew are holding a 3 day Summer Camp at the pitch from next Wednesday 16th July to Friday 18th July for girls 7 or older. Contact Aideen on 086 8163605 for more details.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

U-16 training continues at Pairc na nGael every Wednesday & Friday at 5.30pm.

The U-12 Hurlers put up a spirited display against Gaoth Dobhair. However, the lads from the West proved to be the more dominant side and the final score line reflected this. They play Burt at the Glebe this week

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.
