GAA NEWS: RED HUGHS FACE NA ROSSA THIS WEEKEND IN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Senior Men

The men had no game last weekend.

They are fixed to Play Na Rossa away in the championship this Saturday evening with a 7.30pm throw in. Good luck to the lads and management.

The reserves do not have a game this weekend.

The under 21 are playing Lifford on Tuesday evening at home in the preliminary game of the championship. Good luck to the lads in that home derby match.

Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday for seniors, reserves and minors at 7.30pm

Senior ladies

The Ladies are due to Convoy away this Wednesday yet to be confirmed.

Minor Board

Congratulations to Stephen Mc Menamin and the Donegal minor team on winning the Ulster title on Sunday.

It’s a great achievement for Stephen to be part of the squad and we wish him and the team every success in the quarter final in two weeks time. Also well done to Jim and the lads who landed their 3rd Ulster title in four years. It could be a great summer!!

Cul Camp

Big thank to Oisin Cannon and the coaches for a very enjoyable week at the Red Hughs Cul Camp.

We had 43 children at the camp. Thanks to all the club members that helped out during the week.

Club Camp

This years club camp in conjunction with Dromore National school completion programme will take place this Thursday and Friday from 10.30am to 1pm Parents can register kids for the camp at the local league on Wednesday evening. The camp as usual is free for any kids attending Dromore National School. The fee is €5 for any other children wishing to attend that are not at Dromore School.

Local League

The league is in it’s final week with a double round of fixture in the 01- 04 league this Wednesday with an earlier start time of 6.45pm with all team qualifying for a final. The finals are scheduled to take place on this Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Parents are encouraged to make a big effort to come along and support the kids in the finals. Also could parents make some sandwiches or bring a packet of biscuits for some refreshments after the finals. Thanks everyone in advance.

Under 13 Boys

The lads kick off their league campaign next Wednesday evening the 30th of July at 7pm fixture t.b.c. Training continues on Friday at 6.30pm

Under 16 Boys

The lads are playing Glenswilly away next Monday the 28th in the quarter final of division 2 league. Good luck to the lads and management

Under 16 Girls

The girls have a home game this week v Burt on Tuesday evening. Good luck to the girls and management.

They also played Letterkenny Gaels in a friendly match last Tuesday and had a great victory Red Hughs 4-8 Letterkenny Gaels 1-1

The club would like to wish a speedy to Siobhan Mc Menamin who sustained a broken arm in the game.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend their sincere sympathy to the Sweeney and Gallen families on their recent bereavements.
