SOCCER NEWS: LAGAN U16’S GIRLS TEAM HIT CLONMANY FOR FIVE

Our Ladies second team drew 2-2 with Bonagee Utd. Scorers were Sinead Dunne and Caoimhe Walsh.

Our u/16 girls had a 5-1 win over Clonmany with Aine Deasley(2), Zoe Green, Erin Coll and Caoimhe Walsh scoring.

The ladies team play Ballyfermot ladies in the semi-final of the WFAI Junior cup on Sunday 24th August at 3.00pm.

Our schoolboys are all back in training now.

Anyone wishing to join can contact the following, u/8’s Martin Doran (086-2379864), u/10’s Seamus Crossan (086-1736898), u/12’s ernie Pollock (o87-2268916), u/14’s Gavin Murray (086-2603570), u/16’s John Crawford (086-8245899).

Our men’s team start their season with a Brian Mc Cormick cup tie against local rivals Dromoghill Fc.

Kick off is 2.00 in Orchard Pk.

In our weekly lotto the numbers drawn were 12,16,21 and 23.

Nine people had two numbers with Micky Mc Grath drawn out and winning E50.

The club wishes a speedy recovery to Phonsie O’Donnell and Benny Rodgers who are hospitalised at the moment.
