The Killybegs man launched legal proceedings against Octagon Films and the national broadcaster after three of his paintings appeared on the show.

The pictures appeared in the apartment of slain gangster John Boy in the first series of the show.

Sharkey launched legal proceedings surrounding copyright and right-of-use.

The case was due in the High Court this week but it has now ben withdrawn.
