County Ladies Presentations

Gaeil Fhánada Ladies & Senior Committee would like to congratulate the following three ladies on their fantastic achievement at county level this year:

U16’s Mairead Coyle and Aisling Howe for getting joint Most Consistent County Players of the Year.

U14’s Lauren Carr for getting Most Improved County Player of the Year.

We are very proud of what these three ladies have achieved and extend a huge congratulations to each of them. Having three of our ladies achieve awards at county level is a huge boost for our club and deserves great recognition. Well done ladies, this shows great prospects for the future of Ladies Football in Fanad.

 

Donegal Minor Ladies Open Trials

Seamus Campbell, the Donegal Ladies Minor Manager, is holding open trials for Donegal Minor Ladies in the Centre of Excellence, Convoy on Saturday 1st Nov at 10am, registration at 9.30am. All ladies interested are welcome to attend and we wish you the best of luck!

 

U13 Donegal Ladies Select Team

Gaeil Fhánada Ladies & Senior Committee would like to congratulate – Alannagh Coll, Clare Friel and Eimear Sweeney, who have been chosen to represent our club on an U13 Donegal Select Team who will take part in the Ulster County Development Blitz which is being held in Garvaghey, Co. Tyrone next Saturday (Nov 01st). Well done girls, we hope you enjoy the day!

 

U8 / U10 Parish league

U8 / U10 Parish League kicked off on Bank Holiday Monday with some great sporting games, played in ideal conditions in Trialough. 5 teams taking part were MURRIN STARS – team captain Darren McAteer, manager Odhran Shiels. DRUMNACRAIG – team captain, Gerard Tam Sweendy, manager Eoghan Carr, KNOCKDONELLY ROVERS – team captain Conor Heraghty, manager Patrick Carr. CASHELMORE – team captain, Cian Sweeney, manager Alan McAteer. SHANKY SWIFTS – team captain Shaun Carr, manager James Gallagher. Thanks to both referees Oisin Shiels and Aidan McAteer to the fixture lady and scorekeeper Lisa McConigley and to the co-ordinators Patrick Heraghty and Martin McAteer. Plenty good football the first day, the 2nd round will take place in a few weeks time, keep an eye on our club notes and facebook for the league tables and further fixtures. Thanks to all the parents for all their patience and help as usual.
