County Champs Cloughaneely
CLOUGHANEELY are the 2014 Intermediate County Champions after a 0-15 to 0-08 win over Buncrana at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny today.
They were favourites for the title – and proved it in a hard-fought battle.
They now travel to Owebeg, outside Dungiven in Co Derry, tomorrow to play Derry Intermediate Champions Castledawson.
The south Derry outfit were lucky winners over north Derry’s Slaughtmanus in their county final, winning by a point.
The Ulster fixture, just a day after today’s county final, is hardly fair on the Donegal champions.
But with talent right throughout the side, if they can recover there is nothing to stop them from progressing.
