CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 18’s
In a game of few clear cut chances, Letterkenny started the brighter of the two sides. They had two early half chances which they failed to take. Cappry were content to sit deep and frustrate the visitors but they did look dangerous a few times on the break themselves. Eventually the pressure told and Gareth Doherty opened the scoring in the 38th min with a well taken goal after a surging run into the box. Cappry defended well till half time to keep the score at 1 nil at the break. The home side got the worst possible start to the second period when Letterkenny scored 7 mins into the half. Adrian Delap had a simple finish after good work down the left by Gavin McDaid. At 2 nil the visitors could afford to relax a little and keep possession. However they did get a fright when Owen Donnellan went very close with a left footed curler that went inches wide. The game became a little stale for a long period until Cappry shook themselves and scored a super goal. A wonderful cross from the right by sub Kevin Bonner was met with a powerful header at the back post by Ethan McGlynn to put his side back in it with 18 mins to go. Cappry were unable to push on for an equaliser as the game was played out mostly in the middle third of the pitch. It is the visiting rovers that go through to the next round. Well done to all the lads, who worked tirelessly right to the end.
Training will be on Thursday night at 7.30 up at Cappry and we are away to Illistrin next Saturday in the league.
CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 16’s
Raphoe Town 2 – 3 Cappry Rovers
Cappry rovers maintained their 100% record in the league in a highly entertaining game at Deele college against a young Raphoe side who pushed them all the way, The winning goal wasn’t scored until the last minute when Oisin Gallen floated in a free kick from the right touchline that somehow evaded everyone and found the net. It was quite harsh on Raphoe who in the 6th minute had taken the lead after Ryan McGavigan found space in the box and finished well, Cappry were not behind for long though when Shaun Rodgers forced the ball home after a goal mouth scramble. In the 25th minute the turnaround was complete when Shaun McBride went on a mazy run and finished excellently to the bottom corner, this sparked Raphoe into life and they got back level before the break when DJ Kelly found space on the wing and delivered a superb cross for Paul Keaney to stab home. Both teams tried hard in second half that was full of quality and finely refereed by Marty McGarrigle but it wasn’t until Gallens late late show that things were decided, a good team performance by Cappry, best for Raphoe was DJ Kelly and Luke Barnett

Cappry won this tight encounter with a goal in both halves, the first from Gavin McCormick at the back post and the second from Mark Mbuli in the second half after a great move involving Jack Long and Kevin McCormick and Mark Mbuli with an excellent finish, great efforts from both sides with Sean Ward excellent for Cappry.
No Fixture next week.
CAPPRY CRUSADERS AND CAPPRY COLTS UNDER 12’s
Letterkenny Crusaders 0-2 Cappry Crusaders
It was the clash of the Crusaders as Cappry played Letterkenny in perfect conditions at the Aura centre, Letterkenny on Sunday. After a frantic first 10 minutes defending our boys settled down and played some attractive passing football with Conor Thompson and Oisin Doherty running at the Letterkenny defence time and time again. Cappry played some clever through balls through the
Letterkenny defence and were rewarded with a Conor Thompson goal. The introduction of Jamie Kee and Jason McElcar at half time caused problems for Letterkenny and Jason Dunne capitalised on this with a well taken goal. This was an impressive team performance where the travelling panel of 16 all contributed to a 2-0 nil win for Cappry. Our defence was really solid today with Kian Mulligan Odhran Thomas,Tim Scanlon, Johnny Griffen and Man of the match Kian Gallagher simply shutting the Door on every letterkenny attack! Best team performance of the year by far. Thanks to all our travelling support!
Cappry Crusaders welcome Bonagee Arcade to Cappry Park this weekend.
Cappry Colts are back in action again at the weekend with an away match against Ballyraine Utd.
Judging by the last training session in which 18 players turned up, Gerry will have a selection headache with Ethan, Anna, Nathan and Cathal to name but a few showing well.
