BREAKING NEWS: YOUNG MAN KILLED IN DONEGAL ROAD SMASH

A man was killed in a car crash in Gortahork last night.garda scene

The man, who was in his 30s, was killed following the crash in the Curransport/Glasserchoo area.

The identity of the man, who is believed to be from the area, has not yet been released.

However it is believed he is married and is a father.

Details of the crash have not yet been released.

The area has been sealed off and crash collision investigators are due on the scene this morning to carry out a full investigation into the cause of the crash.

“It’s shocking any time for this to happen but for it to happen at Christmas is even more tragic. Everyone’s thoughts and prayers are with his poor family,” said one local.

Meanwhile there was also a crash at Bunbeg Bridge last night.

Two young men were involved in the crash but their injuries are understood to be not serious.

Meanwhile drivers are asked to slow down and take care as road conditions are treacherous with plunging temperatures.
