ATHLETICS: Firefly Foot and Ankle Clinic want to send the fastest kids in the land to compete against New York’s fastest.

Fireflys’ Fastest Feet is the search for the quickest boy and girl in the land, no older than 8 years of age before 22nd of February 2016.

Children are tested on their fastest speed over a ‘flying 20 metres’. Using speed gates, the child’s time is recorded as they run, full speed, through 2 gates 20 metres apart.

The children who record the fastest times at our various test centres during January will race off in either the boys and girls final at AIT International Arena, Athlone on the first weekend in February.

From there Firefly will send the fastest boy and girl along with a parent/guardian to New York to race at the prestigious Millrose Games in Manhattan on the Weekend of February 20th flight and accommodation to be paid by Firefly the sponsors.

Schools are invited to engage sending their fastest to the finals on the evening on Jan.29th 6pm at Finn Valley AC.

Fastest boy and girl are then invited to participate in Athlone.
