MAN SENT FORWARD FOR TRIAL FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF CHURCHILL MAN

A man has been sent forward for trial for the alleged murder of Churchill man Seamus Doherty four years ago.

Samuel Clarke, 52, was sent forward to the Central Criminal Court following a brief appearance at Letterkenny District Court today.

Samuel James Clarke from Magherahane, Raphoe had been charged with the murder of Seamus Doherty, 67 at his home at Drumacnoo, Churchill on June 17, 2012.

A number of the deceased’s relatives, who was a well-respected horse dealer, attended the short hearing.
