letterkenny-lyitDo you have a flare for design, a passion for gaming, and a desire to combine both interests?

Then why not consider the latest short course offering from the Department of Design & Creative Media.

The Introduction to Designing for Games will run from 10am to 4pm daily, Tuesday 29 March to Friday 1 April, 2016 at the institute. This short course, will cover an introductory in basic design for gaming and cover topics such as Game Idea Generation and Designing Game Play.

Nollaig Crombie, Head of Department of Design & Creative Media, outlined, “We have had a lot of interest in developing a short programme around this area, with the expertise of Joshua McNutt, a lecturer in this field, it is hoped that students participating in this course will leave with a good understanding of the basic introduction into design for games. You don’t need to be a design graduate to participate in this course as no experience is necessary, all you need is the desire to learn.”

The course fee for this 4 day programme is €195, but places are limited, with the course likely to subscribe early. To secure your place contact nollaig.crombie@lyit.ie or call Nollaig on 074 9186203.
