It was a good weekend all round for Tee Siders with Nick Fowell following up his team getting promotion to the premiership by being first club man home in the Mallorca 70.3 race .
He was followed home by another adopted English man Colin Dean with Paddy McNulty Johnny Duffy and Liam Tinney all completing
this iconic race.  The conditions were difficult with jelly fish encountered on the 1900 metre sea swim and with wind coldness and heavy rain to contend with on the
hilly 90 k cycle route and 21.1 k run. Colin had the better run but the half hour Nick gained on the swim and cycle proved too difficult to pull back.
Closer to home  Adan Speer, Adrian Callaghan and Seamus Morrison ran well in the  Inishowen half marathon.
In the five k held in Drumman David Harvey ran well and Danny Mooney also continues to excel winning the 5 k held on behalf of saint Eunans College.
The Trya tri held in the Finn Valley Centre had a number of club entrants with club members also cycling over to help out then cycling home.
Well done to Laobhise maguire, Elaine Gallagher, Claire Neilis , Andrea Moran, Aibhe Dunne, Conor Faul , Aisiling Diver , Claire Mcelhinney and Caroline Mccabe.
We look forward to seeing them progress to other races and well done to Michael Black of Triathlon Ireland for organizing the event and also coaching the beginners.
The fortnightly brick session was held last Thursday and there were good performances by Jason King ,Paddy McGee,  Padraic McCafferty,Natasha Kelly , Fiona Mcdaid and Anne Robinson.
This Thursday we are back to the race of truth with the race to start at 6.30 from Foxhall.
Aidan Callaghan has written a very insightful piece on his travails at the recent 70.30 race in Aix en provence race in France. It can be read at Aidancallaghantriathlon.com.
Training details are on the club website letterkenny247.com and membership details are on the triathlon ireland website.
