GAA NEWS: GLENSWILLY UNDER-AGE TRAINING SCHEDULES RELEASED

NEW UNDERAGE TRAINING TIMES AND LOCATIONS

For the next few weeks the underage teams will train in Errigal College, close to the hospital at Windyhall. The following are the training times for the various underage groups:

U6s – Wednesdays – 6.30pm to 7.30pm

U8s – Saturdays – 1pm

U10s – Mondays – 6.30pm to 7.30pm

U11s – Fridays – 6.15pm to 7.30pm

U12 (girls) will train at the training pitch on Wednesdays at 6.15pm to 7.15pm.

PITCH CLOSURE

Can ALL players please stay off the main pitch until further notice. Alternate arrangements have been made for all teams’ training schedules.

BINGO

Bumper bingo continues in the hall each and every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Over €2,000 in cash prizes are paid out each night with €500 being paid out on the 9th game. Glenswilly Bingo is the only place to play bingo on a Wednesday night! Get there early and get your eyes down to win some cash!

LOTTO

The winner of last week’s club lotto was Elaine Wilkin of Kellogg who matched 3 numbers. The winning numbers were 4,6,15 and 17. The club lottos are available at all local outlets and from any member of the lotto committee.

LADIES NOTES

Glenswilly Ladies had a good win on Sunday against a young Letterkenny Gaels team. Gaels ladies played well but Glenswilly were the stronger side this time.
Their Next game is away to Mac Cumhaills on Sunday morning …Time yet to be confirmed.

U14 Girls

Training will be on Saturday at 330 to 5 pm on the training pitch and will return to Mondays from 23rd May .

Vetting

Garda Vetting has now become active online. Go to Gaa.ie and follow link for child protection /child welfare. Anyone involved with underage teams must have Garda Vetting Clearance.

FIXTURES

This weekend, Sunday 22nd, the Reserves play Glenties at 1.30pm in Glenties and the Senior follow at 3.00pm.

The 3rd team play Glenties on Saturday evening at 7.00pm this match may be rescheduled due to the pitch closure to Glenties.

The U14 girls play Naomh Mhuire away on Monday the 23rd May.

CLUB 5K

The club has confirmed that the annual 5k will take place on Tuesday, June 21st. The event has been a huge success in raising much-needed funds for the underage structures at the club and it is hoped as many entrants will join in the fun again this year. A full meeting and lunch will be held in the coming weeks and details will be released through the notes and on the club’s Facebook page.

QUIZ

The Club is holding a Table Quiz in Callaghans on Friday 27th May. Teams of 4, entry €20.00. Everyone is encouraged to support.
