GAA NEWS: GLENFIN LADIES COME OUT VICTORIOUS AFTER CLASH WITH ARDARA ON MONDAY

Senior football

Well done to our senior ladies who beat Ardara on Monday night in the senior championship. This was a very good team performance with the scores coming from 8 different players. The Glenfin team and scorers were: Jodie McGlynn – Sinead Doherty – Dianne McGlynn – Jessica Martin – Katy Herron 02 – Ann Marie McGlynn – Karen Guthrie 03 – Grainne Houston 1.00 – Roisin Moy 02 – Karen Ward 03 – Bridgin Byrne 1.01 – Yvonne McMonagle 2.09 – Kathleen Mc Ginty 3.04. Subs Used Tara Martin. Next fixture TBC

There was no reserve or 3 rd team game last weekend but our senior team battled hard to get 2 much needed points in the league against Killybegs. A goal from Stephen McGlynn proved to be the difference in the end. Senior and Reserves are away to Naomh Muire in the league on Saturday the 16th of July at 6pm and Club season tickets are available for €99.00 – these tickets allow you access to all adult men league and championship matches within the county. It also covers matches that Glenfin are not involved in. If anyone is interested contact Sean Bonner on 0872608539.

Ulster Final

CLG Gleann Fhinne would like to wish the best of luck to Stephen Carr and Frank McGlynn who are on the Donegal minor and senior panels next Sunday the 17th for the Ulster finals in Clones. Stephen and the minors play Derry at 12.00 pm and then Frank and the seniors play Tyrone at 2pm.

Under age training: Wednesdays U8 and U10 6.00pm- 700p.  U12 & U13 boys 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

 

U12s

Well done to the U12s who beat Milford by 4.10 to 2.05 in the Northern Board B final on Monday evening in Glenfin. This team put in a big effort all year and it’s nice to see these young players being rewarded. Well Glenfin U12 girls are hosting the blitz finals on Saturday the 16th of July. Throw in at 11am in Glenfin.

 

U14s

Our U14 girls play Downings in Downings on Thursday evening at 6.45pm. Bus will leave field at 5pm. U14 boys have finished for this season but the U13 competition will start in August.

 

U16s

Hard Luck to the U16 Boys who lost to Red Hughs by a few points on Monday night. Their next fixture is home to Convoy on Friday the 15th at 7.30pm.

U16 girls are due to start in August.

 

U18s

Our Minor ladies had a great start to their championship on Tuesday the 12th with a home victory against Lifford. Their next game is against Convoy. The Minor boys had no fixture this week due to the Ulster minor final this Sunday. Next fixture TBC.
