Girls Academy set up

There was a great turn-out when the Girls Academy was officially launched in the club on Saturday night last. Ladies senior manager Gerard McGinty addressed those present and released details of a six year plan for the academy. Club chairman Peter McConnell also fully endorsed the academy and said the entire club was behind the project. The club would also like to thank Donegal and Termon players Therese McCafferty and Roisin Friel for coming along to the launch. Many thanks also to all those who made refreshments for the launch.

Tickets for Round 4 of qualifiers Donegal v Cork

Tickets will be available the usual time for collection at the clubhouse on Thursday 28th July at 8.30-9pm Sharp.

Seniors and Reserves

There are no league games this weekend due to the Donegal game at Croke Park. Next league game is against St Michaels in Glenswilly on Sunday the 14th Aug.

The seniors will play Cloughaneely in the Laurence McGinty Cup this Thursday in Glenswilly at 7.30pm. Meanwhile Termon will face Glenfin, also in Glenswilly, in the same competition next Tuesday, also at 7.30pm.

Congratulations to the Third team who beat Glenfinn last Saturday night final score Glenfinn 2-5 Glenswilly 1-11. Hopefully they continue their championship success this weekend against St Eunans. This game will hopefully take place on Friday night at 7pm in Glenswilly.

The U16 boys have a League game at home on the 3rd of August at 7.30 against Naomh Comlcille. This is the boys first home game this season so all support is welcome.

Under 11s training will continue Monday/Fridays 6.30-7.30pm on the main pitch. U9s and U11s will start a new tournament on the 16th August.

Congrats to the U10 A and B teams winners of both their tournaments in Dungloe last Saturday.

Best of Luck to Michael, Neil and the Donegal team this weekend in Croke Park and also Paddy McGinty and the Donegal Minors.

Under 16’s play their first game of the season on Tuesday 2nd August – away to Letterkenny Gaels.

Training continues on Mondays 6.15 – 7.30 for Under 16’s and minors.

Well done Henry!

Well done to U14 club player Henry Bose who proved he’s a real all ’round athlete when he finished 6th overall in the 250 metre hurdles at the All Ireland Track and Field Championships. Congrats Henry!
