July 28, 2016

BREAKING NEWS…GARDAI investigating the murder in Donegal of top Sinn Fein official turned British agent Denis Donaldson have today charged a man.

The man, who is in his 70s, is to appear this afternoon at Dublin Criminal Court charged in connection with the 2006 of Mr Donaldson.

A 46-year-old man also arrested in connection with the murder has been released without charge, say Gardai.

Both men were arrested on Tuesday and were being quizzed at Letterkenny Garda station.

Ex-IRA man Donaldson was shot dead at a cottage at Cloghercor, Doochary, in April 2006.

Republicans were blamed for his killing.

Donaldson had been working for both MI5 and the RUC Special Branch as an agent inside both the IRA and Sinn Fein.
