Donegal fan beats the bookies thanks to Ryan McHugh!

Donegal were defeated by Dublin this evening, and we’re all disappointed, but extremely proud of all the players and management staff for their efforts this season.

However, the crushing pain of defeat has been softened some what for one Donegal supporter.

Marianne Forker, from Burtonport, backed Ryan McHugh to score first at odds of 20-1.

She fancied McHugh to find the back of net, seeing as he did so twice the last time the sides met in championship action.

Marianne decided to have a punt and placed €25 on McHugh to find the net first, and that’s exactly what he did.

Donegal trailing by six points, were desperately searching for a way back into the game, and they did thanks to a brilliantly worked team goal, which was finished off by McHugh.

That goal meant that Marianne will now receive €525.00 for her bet.

It’s not the first time she bashed the bookies, two years ago she placed €50 on Donegal to win at odds of 10-1 and won €500!!

We didn’t get the result we wanted, but it’s always nice to see the bookie beat!
