‘Escape from Letterkenny’ to hit the silver screen in September

Steve McCollum’s film ‘Escape from Letterkenny’ will premiere at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny on the 9th of September at 8pm.

Narty Films made this punk video film with a budget of zilch. Despite the lack of any funding, the production value is fantastic!

Narty Films sums it up concisely; “In every small town, there are gangs. This is the story of one such gang: The SHAMS. There’s also a metal-head and a pile of supernatural sh*te too. And a pure class car. And a few dolls. Can’t be forgettin’ the Dolls”.

A Donegal take on ‘The Fast and The Furious’ with a hint of underground grit, a bit of sci-fi, and a comedic overtone? Sounds good to us!

The film will feature some classic American muscle cars, so if you’re a car enthusiast this could be the flick for you!

At the premiere, Irish Bandit and his car Smokey & The Bandit Trans Am will make an appearance. He’ll also bring along his other muscle car, Knight Rider.

You can buy tickets to the premiere from An Grianán Theatre.
