Our annual Darren Mc Ginley memorial tournament took place at the weekend, it was another successful day with 6 teams taking part and some great football played, Dungloe won the shield, defeating Killybegs in a very good final while St Naul’s won the cup playing some excellent football along the way.

In between both finals there was an All Star game some if our lady players came out of retirement for the day and put on a fantastic performance with Sean Gavigan’s team of legends out witting Danny Cunningham’s team to win bragging rights, thanks to all the clubs for participating and supporting the tournament. Thanks also to the Mc Ginley family and everybody who helped out in any way that helped make it another great days entertainment.

The club wishes our own Erin Cunningham a speedy Recovery after picking up an injury while playing on Saturday in the tournament, Get well soon Erin.

Both men’s teams made the trip to Milford at the weekend in the league, our reserves were unlucky to come away with nothing after a good battle. Our seniors were also defeated in a fantastic game of end to end football, in a game that could have gone either way Milford prevailed. Both teams came home disappointed but very encouraged with the performances.

The men now play this coming Saturday at home to Malin in the league.

This coming Friday evening, The Mary Catherine Curran Memorial Tournament takes place in Pairc na Geal from 6pm
This is a 9 a side tournament, With teams from all over the south west on display.

As always if any parents could bring in some sandwiches or buns or help out in the kitchen on the day please do so.

Our ladies are back in action this Sunday at home to Robert Emmets in the Championship at 11am, best of luck to Danny, Gérard and the Girls.

Our u16 girls play kilcar in Towney on Tuesday at 7pm. Best of luck to players and management.
