Naomh Columba ladies heartbroken after losing out by single point

Sunday last played host to a very busy day in Pairc na Gael.

First up were our Senior ladies who replayed their championship semi final match with Robert Emmets, yet again the two teams couldn’t be separated as the match went to extra time for the second week in a row, unfortunately for our ladies after a second period of extra time.

Our ladies were beaten by a heartbreaking single point, both teams played their hearts out in a great game and our ladies can take great heart from their performances this last two weeks.

Huge Thanks to Danny and Gerard for all their work with the Ladies team this year and Roll on the 2017 season.

Our men’s teams then took centre stage and our reserves turned in a battling performance to get the better of a tough Naomh Brid team.

Our senior team then took on Naomh brid and showed a lot of fighting spirit to win by one point in an exciting contest.

Our u13 team were the final game on Sunday and in a very good match got the better of kilcar, with some very good talent on show for both teams.

This week our 10 week draw kicks off on Thursday night at our club bingo in Carrick, As always we appreciate the community’s support and help in our fundraising as our sellers travel around the Area, Anybody living away from the area that is willing to get involved or purchase tickets for our 10 week draw, Please contact
John Joe Doherty on 0858708189 or Contact Club PRO Sarah Mc Morrow on 0873112121 or on the Club Facebook page

Our u16 girls travel to Ardara on Tuesday evening to take on ardara. Both teams have 100% records so it makes for a good game. Best of luck to our girls.

Our jackpot rises this week so please support our Club lotto.
