LETTERKENNY ROVERS FC NEWS:

Club action is hectic at the moment and our seniors welcome Derry City Reserves on Sunday to Leck at 2pm for the opening League game. They go into this game on the back of a good 6-1 win over Swilly Rovers which qualifies them for the semi final of the League Cup. Goalscorers in that one were Brian McVeigh, Kevin McGrath and a brace each from Steve Okakpo- Emeka and Darren McElwaine.

A couple of teams are double engaged this week with the u16s due to play Bonagee at Leck on Thursday evening at 630pm before hosting Dunfanaghy at the Aura on Saturday morning at 11am.

Our u14s Rovers were due to host Gweedore Celtic on Wednesday evening before travelling to play Gweedore Utd on Saturday morning at 1145am.

Our u14s Crusaders were unlucky to lose out 3-2 at Gweedore Utd last week with the scorers being Sean McVeigh and Kenny Alum and they meet Gweedore Celtic at Leck this Saturday morning at 1145am while our u14s United travel to play Gweedore Celtic Impact on Sunday morning at 1130am. United will go into that one having had a great win last week when defeating Bonagee 3-2 with goals from Sean Pascual, Joe Sweeney and Darren Gillespie.

Our u12s Rovers had a mixed week with two goals from Cory McCarron helping to defeat Swilly Rovers 2-0 before they lost their first game of the season 1-0 at Glenea. This Saturday they are again on the road when travelling to play Gweedore Utd.

Our u12s Crusaders had a big win at Gweedore Utd last week to continue their fine start to the season and make the shorter trip to play Bonagee Arcade this Sunday at 10am while our Youths begin their Donegal Youth League campaign with a trip to also play Gweedore Utd on Friday night at 730pm.

Tickets for the annual draw priced at €10 are expected to be distributed this week and we will be in touch with all club personnel pertaining to draw matters.
