The LYIT graduations and a busy bank holiday weekend mean that traffic delays are expected in the town today.

There will be a significant increase in visitors to the town as families travel to the LYIT campus for the conferring ceremonies. The awards begin at 10am this morning, and will continue until the evening.

There will be many proud families around as students celebrate their achievements. Students in nine departments will be receiving their awards.

The LYIT Student Union issued a congratulatory message to students on Facebook: Congratulations to all the LYIT Students graduating today. LYIT Student Union wishes you all the very best, enjoy your day, savour every moment, and the best of luck for the future, if you have now completed your academic journey at LYIT.
