Clannad star Moya Brennan has revealed her new album will be a real family affair.

The Donegal star is working on the album with daughter Aisling and son Paul Jarvis on the record which is provisionally entitled ‘River of Songs.’

The album, Moya’s first studio album for ten years, is due for release in February next.

Moya revealed “I am delighted to say that I have been working on my brand new solo album, provisionally titled “River of Songs”. I can’t believe it has been 10 years since the release of Signature, my last studio album, and I can’t wait to share this new music with you all.

“To add to the excitement, it is very much a family affair here in the studio! I have been writing songs non-stop with my son, daughter and husband over the past few weeks. My daughter, Aisling Jarvis, is engineering and mixing the album, with some help from my son, Paul Jarvis. And it will be a co-production between all of us!

“So I am hoping that you will enjoy the old Moya sound coming together with the new modern styles of my kids, while still keeping the Celtic vibe that I know you all love so well.”

Miya said that she also plans to go back on the road across Europe and tour the new album and will carry more details on her website www.moyabrennan.com
