Letterkenny Triathlon Club Notes:

Paul Doherty wins Remembrance 10k

Congrats to all club members who took part in the Remembrance 10k on Sunday. The annual race had over 500 entrants despite the wintry conditions. The club had a great turnout and the lovely flat course ensured competitors posted some brilliant times.

Paul Doherty was the overall winner in a time of 36:40. This was Paul’s first ever podium finish and he was delighted his hard work and dedication to his training paid off!

Peter O’ Donnell was 7th in a time of 38:25 while Paddy McGee also posted a sub 40 minute time fresh from his Sea to Summit adventures last weekend. Natasha Kelly was the first 24/7 woman home, 2nd woman overall, in an impressive PB of 40:53, showing her cross country training has served her well. Liam Tinney also finished with a PB in a time of 42:47.

There was also excellent runs from Stephen Robinson, Lisa Dalton, Seamus Morrison and Terence Quinn. Well done to everyone who raced, it was great to see so many 24/7 members racing in the last 10k of the season.
