Coleman back in action, but Everton lose at Watford

SEAMUS COLEMAN recovered from his brush with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to play for Everton today – but the Toffees were beaten 3-2 by Watford at Vicarage Road.

Coleman had to come off during Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, the Killybegs man suffering as a result of a clash with Ibrahimovic.

Coleman was back in the starting XI today for Ronald Koeman’s team today, but they fell to a narrow defeat.

The loss means the Blues have now won only once in 11 games.

Stefano Okaka’s brace either side of a powerfully-headed goal by Sebastian Prodl secured the win for Watford.

Romelu Lukaku struck twice for Everton, but his second goal, on 86 minutes, was a case of too little, too late.

Lukaku had given Everon the lead, but Okaka levelled with a fine volley at the near post.

And Prodl’s header rose to brilliantly head home before Okaka made it 3-1 just past the hour.
