The Ryan family do Donegal proud in Ireland’s Fittest Family

The Ryan Family have done themselves and Donegal proud after coming third in the RTE show Ireland’s Fittest Family.

Danny Ryan and family beat families from across the country and got through to the final three families in tonight’s show.

But despite a heroic performance under coach Alan Quinlan, the family form Kilmacrennan just failed to make the head-to-head final.

Dad Danny said it was so near and yet so far for them in their attempt to win the title and the €15,000 prizemoney.

“It means a lot for us to get to the final but it’s disappointed but very proud to be in the final”

Coach Alan Quinlan said he was just delighted to get to know the Ryan family.

“It was a great journey to get to know them and I’m very proud of them. They were brilliant to work with,” said Alan Quinlan.

The Ryans and their fans had a great night in The Station House Hotel in Letterkenny watching tonight’s final.

From everyone in Donegal, we salute the brilliant performance of this brilliant family.

In the end it was the Cummins family who claimed the title of Ireland’s Fittest Family.
