Speculation is mounting that Donegal star Odhrán Mac Niallais is set to move to America.
The Gaoth Dobhair man has not yet returned to training with the Donegal senior panel.
It is being reported this morning that the 24-year-old is taking a year out to head Stateside.
Mac Niallais came to prominence in 2014 when he made a place his own and played a lead role as Donegal won the Ulster Championship and reached the All-Ireland final.
However, the Irish Independent reports that Mac Niallais seems set to join Leo McLoone in withdrawing from Rory Gallagher’s panel.
Last week, McLoone confirmed that he was not making himself available for selection.
McLoone is believed to have grown frustrated with the limited game time afforded to him in 2016.
Veterans Colm McFadden and Eamon McGee had already announced their retirements while Gallagher has drafted a dozen new players into his squad this winter.
