ADAM Hanlon has taken to social media to confirm that he will not be part of the Finn Harps squad in 2017.

Hanlon previously played for Shelbourne and Bray Wanderers before being signed by Harps manager Ollie Horgan at the start of last season.

Hanlon first appeared for Harps in a pre-season friendly against the Inishowen League at Maginn Park.

Hanlon lives in Arklow and, so keen was Horgan to get his man he drove late one night to the player’s home to get his signature.

Horgan capped Hanlon with the Republic of Ireland Schools Hanlon traveled once a week for training with Dubliner Dave Scully.

Just want to take a chance to thank everyone at @FinnHarpsFC for last season. Team and fans were excellent wish them the best this season.
