Twitter reacts to Donegal’s impressive win over Tyrone

Donegal overcame Tyrone 0-12 to 0-6 in Ballybofey last night – and Twitter was purring about the display of Rory Gallagher’s team.

Gallagher himself attempted to downplay the significance of the win, but there was no doubting that Donegal were impressive.

Ciaran Thompson continued his excellent form with three points on a rotten night at Sean MacCumhaill Park – where Donegal are now unbeaten in 17 League and Championship matches.

Tyrone under the pump tonight. Donegal were excellent but a lot of football to be played yet in 2017. More fireworks on Wednesday!

Donegal's form in Ballybofey shows the advantage Dublin have with Croke Park

Massive win for Donegal, Ref was a total disgrace. Tyrone came to fight not to play football tonight, disgusting team!! #AllianzLeagues

Tyrone, Donegal and Kerry have all come within a whisker of beating Dublin. It's only March, but it bodes well for the summer

FT Donegal 0-12 Tyrone 0-6. That's 17 games unbeaten in Ballybofey for Donegal, some record here. Excellent display from them

Delighted to have been wrong about how Donegal would do in the league. Good win tonight, some cracking scores. Well done lads

Well done #Donegal, and fair dues to the players and supporters who braved what only be described as odious conditions

Great display by a young Donegal team#futuresbright

Beating Tyrone wasn't so much a statement about Donegal but confirmation that Tyrone are as average as I've always believed #AllianzLeagues

Normal service resumed in the Donegal Tyrone Saga then. 🔰

Michael Murphy must be Donegal's greatest ever player. Not sure it could be disputed at this stage.

Ryan McHugh is just so delightful to watch, what an exceptional talent #AllianzLeagues #donegal
