Picture special as Kirsty crowned Intervarsity Champion on busy weekend for 24/7 Club

Kirsty McIlwaine was crowned 2017 Intervarsity Champion at Saturdays National Series triathlon hosted by Nenagh Triathlon Club. Kirsty was first female in a super time of 01:11:43. Congrats Kirsty.

 

Falcarragh Duathlon

Michael Logue was the first 24/7 member to cross the line in Good Friday’s Duathlon hosted by Errigal Cycling Club. Michael finished the event in a time of 52:29. Shaun McDevitt also took part, finishing in a brilliant time of 55:26.

 

Junior club member Ciaran McGettigan was the winner of the Underage Duathlon in a very impressive 13:47.

 

Easter Sunday 3k/5k

A few members took part in Easter Sundays 3k/5k. Shane McNulty and Gavin Crawford took on the 3k event finishing in 09:41 and 09:55 respectivley while Michael Black was first male in the 5k course in a time of 17:26

 

Shamrock Challenge Cycle

Niall Mulrine, Paddy Doherty and Gerard McGettigan all raced well in Saturdays Charity Shamrock Challenge

 

Ballyliffen Coastal Challenge 7mile/10mile

Siobhan Gallagher was first female in Saturdays grueling 10mile coastal challenge in Ballyliffen. Siobhan finished in a time of 01:11:53. Colin Dean was 10th overall in a very impressive 01:07:34.

Club Meeting/Information Night

There will be a club meeting/information night this Friday 21st April at 8.15pm for all Club Members. Location: Upstairs@ The Kitchen, Dunnes Stores Retail Park. All club members welome.

 

Saturday Swim Session

Due to demand a Saturday swim session has been added to the clubs training timetable. This is a coached session and will be from 6-7pm at Aura.

Please note prepayment does not cover the cost of Saturday sessions.

 

Prepayment

The April-June swim payment of €80 for those who prepay for the year is now due.

 

Club Training

Club training continues as follows:

Tuesday: Track session- 7.45pm

Wednesday: Swim session- Advanced 7-8pm, Intermediate/ Beginners 8-9pm

Thursday: Brick/TT session 6:30pm Sharp- this week is a Brick Turbo session@ Ballymacool Park

Saturday: Club cycle leaves from Aura at 8am

Saturday: Swim session- 6-7pm (please note prepayment does not cover the cost of Saturday sessions)
