Scottish title for Three Rivers’ Ciaran Crawford

Ciarán Crawford, Jamie-Lee Simpson and Emma Dolan made the trip to Edinburgh at the weekend to represent the Three Rivers Shotokan club at the 2017 Scottish International Open.

Sunday morning began with the team Kumite events which seen a Three Rivers team made up of Jamie-Lee, Emma and Lana Biesty from the M.A.S.K club in Mayo battle through the rounds to lift silver in the girls section.
Ciarán Crawford joined an IKKU team made up of Louis Barham and Eoin Clynch under IKKU Coach Paul Brennan and like the girls took silver after some great performances on the Tatami.
The commencement of the  individual sections seen Ciarán charge through his opponents scoring some excellent points to lift the Scottish Open title to the delight of his Coach Martin McNamee.
