Listen: Declan Boyle content as ‘professional’ Finn Harps U17s win again

Finn Harps Under-17 manager Declan Boyle was happy with a ‘professional performance’ as his side overcame Monaghan/Cavan today.

James Carolan, Ryan Cunningham and Jamie Brown scored in a 3-0 win in Killygordon.

Boyle’s team, very much like their senior counterparts, are down a number of bodies with injury but, after a scoreless first half, the three second-half goals made safe the win.

“It was a wee bit difficult at times,” Boyle said.

“We had a few good chances that we didn’t take in the first half. You’re always cautious that one goal could change it so the first goal was important.

“It wasn’t our best performance, but it was a testing performance and a professional performance.”

They face Derry on Wednesday evening in the Cup before taking on Dundalk next weekend in the League.
