Donegal death notices for today, Sunday, September 10.

 

Marie Thérese GALLAGHER (née McBrearty)
The death has occurred of Marie Thérese Gallagher (née McBrearty), Glenties, Co. Donegal and formerly of Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Peacefully on Saturday 9th September 2017, surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of Matron and Staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Jim, loving mother to Anne, Ciarán and Marie Thérese. Very sadly missed by her children, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Eavan, grandchildren Katie, Pauraic, Brionadh, Seamus, Ailbhe, Conal and Aisling, brothers and sisters Seamus, Sean, Bernadette, Anne, Eileen, Celine and Rosemary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, family and friends.

Funeral arriving to St. Conal’s Church, Glenties at 7.30pm on Sunday evening. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11.00am followed by burial in the local cemetery, Glenties. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The Alzheimer’s Association of Ireland.

 

MARY (MALLIE) STANFORD
The death has occurred of Mary (Mallie) Stanford, 4, Coastguard Station, Rathmullan – suddenly at her home. Funeral arrangements to follow on Monday afternoon.

 

Caroline MC GAHERN (née French)
The death has taken place September 8th 2017 at her home of Caroline Mc Gahern (née French) Cavan Hill, Lifford. Much loved mother of Roisin, Louise, Michael, Darren and Shay and sister of Seamus, Leonard, Angela, Bridie, Pearl, Gabrielle and Andy.

Reposing at her daughter, Roisin Friel`s home, Stranamuck, Castlefin on Sunday (September 10th) from 6p.m. Funeral leaving her daughter`s home on Tuesday (September 12th) at 10.20a.m. for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 11a.m. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and family circle. Donations in lieu of flowers please to the Foyle Hospice. Family time please from 11p.m. to 11a.m.

 

Bridget (Dodie) MC CUTCHEON
The death has occurred of Bridget (Dodie) Mc Cutcheon, Colehill, Newtowncunningham, suddenly at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Removal from the Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, today, Saturday, 9th September, at 3.30pm to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham, to repose overnight. Funeral Mass tomorrow, Sunday, 10th September, at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Babs MAGUIRE (née Gillespie)
The death has occurred of Babs Maguire (née Gillespie), Rathglass, Moy Rd, Ballyshannon, peacefully at her residence on Saturday 9th September 2017. Babs, beloved wife of the late Charlie, and loving mother of Kathleen (Daly), John, Padraig and Cathal. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter, sons, daughters-in-law Ethna, Mary and Deirdre, son-in-law Michael Daniel, her beloved 15 grandchildren, her brothers Willie (Cliffoney), Michael (Castlegal), her sister Josephine (Geevagh), nephews, nieces, and all her relatives, great neighbours and great friends.

Reposing at her late residence this Saturday evening from 8pm to 10pm and tomorrow, Sunday, from 12 noon to 10pm. Removal on Monday afternoon at 1.15pm to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 2pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family and close friends on Monday please. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to the Palliative Care Team at The North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo c/o Conlan & Breslin Funerals or by donation box at family home and church.
