Heavy rain and strong gusty winds have led to two weather warnings being issued for Donegal today.
A Status Yellow wind and rain warning is in place as coastal counties were hit with wind gusts of 90 to 110km/h overnight.
Heavy rain showers this morning are forecast to last until 12noon today (Monday). Rainfall accumulations of 30 to 50 mm are expected in Donegal and Western counties.
Met Eireann says winds across all provinces of Ireland will reach mean speeds of 55 to 65km/h. Winds will be strongest in exposed hilly and coastal areas, with very high seas on Sunday night into Monday morning.
The weather outlook for the week is cool, changeable and wet until Thursday, before a more settled weekend.
Heavy rain outbreaks are expected on Tuesday, with moderate winds and cool temperatures of 13-15 degrees.
