Donegal death notices for today, Wednesday, September 20.


Agnes (Nessie) MC DOUGALL

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Agnes (Nessie) Mc Dougall, Keadue and formerly of Glasgow.

Reposing at Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home, Dungloe on Wednesday 20th September from 5pm till 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning, 21st September at 10.30am going to St. Columba’s Church, Acres for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Belcruit Cemetery.


Marjorie KELLY (née Brennan)

The death has occurred of Marjorie Kelly (née Brennan), Springlawn, Longford Town, Longford, late of Raphoe, Co. Donegal. Marjorie is predeceased by her daughter Josephine. She will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Julianna, Mary, Maeve and Ann, son Thomas, sons-in-law James and Mickey, brothers John, Liam and Joe, sisters Rosemary, Kate, Anne and Geraldine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, her 16 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 5.00pm until 7.00pm with prayers at 6.00pm. Removal on Friday to arrive at St. Mel’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.00am, interment afterwards in St. Eunan’s Cemetery, Raphoe, Co. Donegal. The family would like to thank the staff of Laurel Lodge for their Care and the kindness shown to their mother.

 

Dolly O’DONNELL
The death has occurred of Dolly O’Donnell, Fair Hill, Dungloe, Donegal.

Reposing in McGlynn’s Funeral Home from 5pm this Wednesday evening, September 20th, with rosary at 9pm. Viewing again on Thursday, September 21st, at 3pm, with removal at 6.30pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Meenacross for 7pm, reposing overnight. Funeral Mass on Friday, September 22nd, at 11am, with burial afterwards in Maghery Cemetery.

 

Troy MORRIS
The sudden death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Troy Morris, Removal from the family home, Sappagh, Muff tomorrow, Thursday, at 9.15am to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn, Derry for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in the City Cemetery.

 

Kathleen MCSHANE
The death has occurred of Kathleen McShane, Derrylahan, Kilcar, Donegal.

Reposing at her late residence. Removal on Friday, 22nd September, at 11.30am for Funeral Mass in St. Cartha’s Church, Kilcar at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilcar Cemetery. House private please, from 11pm till 11am.

 

Joseph MAXWELL
The death has taken place at St Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar of Joseph Maxwell, Carrickbrack, Convoy.

His remains will repose at his late residence from 11am today, Wednesday September 20th. Funeral from there on Friday 22nd September at 1.30pm for service in Carnowen Presbyterian Church at 2pm with burial afterwards in the family plot in the adjoining churchyard. Family time from 11pm till 11am. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Carnowen Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer’s Society, Ireland Donegal Branch care of any family member or Gibson Funeral Directors, Convoy.

 

Edward MALONEY JUNIOR
The death has occurred of Edward Maloney Junior, Cronashallog, Dungloe, Donegal.

Funeral Mass in St. Crona’s Church, Dungloe tomorrow, Thursday, 21st September, at 12 noon followed by burial in Maghery Cemetery. House strictly private please.

 

Kitty CONAGHAN
The death has occurred of Kitty Conaghan, Doorin Line, Mountcharles, peacefully, in her 104th year, at Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home, Mullinasole. Reposing at the residence of her daughter Marguerite Lawler, Doorin line Mountcharles today from 6pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Thursday, from 11am until 10pm.

Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Patients Comfort Fund, Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

 

Annie CANNING (née DEENEY)
The death has occurred of Annie Canning (née DEENEY), Tyrladen, Glenvar, Donegal in a Nursing Home in Dublin. Funeral arrangements later. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Francie MCGINLEY
The death has occurred of Francie McGinley, Lower Mount Marion, Milford, Donegal.

Requiem Mass took place this morning at St. Peter’s Church, Milford with burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery. Family time from 11pm till 10am.
